Enfield Together Coalition is a collaborative effort to improving health outcomes for our community’s youth.
Key organizations and leaders will join together to improve the quantity, quality and consistency of services and opportunities for children and youth to be prepared for college and career finishing strong and drug free.
Join The Movement
Enfield Together Coalition seeks community members to drive major improvements in youth substance abuse prevention by building from the belief that collective effort is necessary to make large scale change.
We strive to create a community-wide framework that establishes a common goal and shared vision for change in order to facilitate coordinated action.
The Enfield Together Coalition implements successful community-based approaches that identify and address local youth substance use problems through the use of a Strategic Prevention Framework.
The idea behind the Strategic Prevention Framework is to use the findings from public health research along with evidence-based prevention programs to build capacity within communities and the prevention field.
In turn, this promotes resilience and decreases risk factors in individuals, families, and communities.
What We Do
It’s important to have conversations and know the risks about youth substance abuse.

“We are dedicated to reducing and preventing underage drinking and substance use in Enfield through raising awareness, education parents/youth, and enforcing underage drinking laws”
The Enfield Together Coalition has been gaining much momentum in our community:
We have placed posters in our local pharmacies and mall regarding our take back box at the Enfield Police Department.
Enfield’s public bus system (Magic Carpet) was wrapped with the “Take It To The Box” slogan thus more public awareness.
Coalition members have been trained to use a specially developed power point to show at civic meetings and schools and other groups that would benefit from it. It has been well received at a local Rotary meeting and will continue to be a town resource.
Successful campaigns about marijuana were sent over six months with pertinent post cards to parents to be reminders that together we can bridge the issues around the new marijuana laws.
Last but certainly not least, our sectors have been growing, we have added a pharmacist, local business representatives and various parents, grandparents, and military personnel. We know there is more work to be done but we truly are moving forward and looking to have a lasting impact on our community.
